Have you ever checked out Middle Ranch? It’s absolutely the kind of venue I would choose if I was getting married …. big, gorgeous, outdoor lawn and huge trees for the ceremony location …. with the reception venue on the same property.

Love it!

Of course, most wedding schedules run a bit late and this was no exception ….

But we had time to leave the b&b [Brandon, Angela, me, Andrew with all my gear, and Virginia the maid of honor] …. photos in the Duomo piazza, photos in another piazza and a few other locations in Florence before catching a cab to the ceremony location and even more photos there.

Loved it! And if you ask Angela I think she’d say allowing this time really paid off. I think she’s quite happy with these images …. and she didn’t have to leave her guests to take pics after the ceremony. I know that doesn’t work for all couples, but in this case you can see the results:

While walking through one of the piazzas we certainly got some attention and a little applause!

The wind was magical …. just perfect timing.

{Technically I was also a maid of honor, but I was put to work, so this is pretty much the only photo of me. Photo by Andrew. Why didn’t anyone tell me my hair looked so bad. Sigh}

It is so amazing to be pulled out of a comfort zone of your home town and be invited to photograph a BEAUTIFUL couple in an equally BEAUTIFUL location.

Seriously, please consider having your wedding anywhere from Puerto Rico to Paris. I promise I’m a ton of fun and your wedding will be truly unforgettable.

They are both from Southern California, and so much of their friends and family came out to Las Vegas to celebrate with them …

One of Beth’s family friends performed the ceremony for them and that personal touch just made everyone feel like they were part of that day and the love of Beth and Jenny’s relationship.

Beth is the sister of another good friend of ours, so recently (with the wedding and Eleanor’s bday) Andrew and I have really become part of the family (whether they like it or not!)

The wedding was on a Sunday afternoon in Las Vegas at a venue called Rainbow Gardens.

The first part of the day was filled with portraits (which I absolutely could not have gotten done w/o Beth and Jenny’s friend Ally! thank you!) …

This wedding was so much fun! I’ll tell you more about it as we go … but suffice to say that friends and family are what really make weddings entertaining! Everyone there supporting Nick and Cora obviously love them so much. … it was fantastic.

We started out with just some photos of the wedding party getting ready …

Nick and Cora saw each other just for a few moments before the ceremony. Neither of them seemed nervous at all, but this special moment was just for them. Just as they are about to walk down the aisle …

Most of these are anticipation related … stuff I am looking forward to accomplishing or experiencing. I wish there were 30 more hours in every day. Not because of all the stuff I HAVE to do … but because of all the stuff I want to do.

• Mary Poppins – I just watched this recently. I had forgotten how much I love this movie and how much I wanted to BE Mary Poppins. I sat there grinning the whole 2.5 hours.
