(granted, this is after he came back from a long weekend of work and partying and was probably exhausted … but anyway!)

This is the face that I love.

Andrew and I have been friends since September 1999.
We’ve been ‘a couple’ since April 2001.
We’ve been married since November 6, 2005.

3 years sharing every aspect of my life with my best friend.

Making decisions together.
Waking up together.
Traveling together.
Learning together.
Laughing together.

Love you, boy.

This is one of my most favorite sessions. Mostly because it is of people I love.

Meet Kaitlin and Joe. Kaitlin is my husband’s sister, and Joe is her boyfriend of … 4 years? A long time.

I love these 2 for so many reasons. Cause they’re family. Cause they’re gorgeous (and every photographer loves taking pics of pretty people). Cause they’re so sweet and generous (when I moved out here, Joe helped unload the moving truck while I slept). Cause they’re so much fun.

These 2 are so goofy together – it’s the cutest thing. Plus, in every word and action, you can just see that they are best friends who truly have fun together and absolutely cherish each other.

I love you both and I’m so glad we live in CA again to be near you.

(sidenote: for those interested, these pics were all taken about a block away from my in-laws home in Newhall, CA.)

We were getting ready to go back to the house, but all of a sudden – the sun came out.
But just a little.
Dark, overcast clouds all around, with just a bit of perfect golden sunshine down on Joe and Kaitlin.
Doesn’t get any better than that.
