Look at that face!

I photographed Zach and Hannah’s wedding a few years ago, and was so excited that they asked me to take some new family portraits while I was in town over Thanksgiving.

This is just a little preview with more to come …

I’m interested to see which image they choose for Christmas cards!

We’re super proud of her, of course …

To commemorate, we took some fun married-couple-portraits of Jessica and her husband Fernando on her college’s campus.

They’ve been married almost 5 years and this is their first REAL set of photos since then …

We met in downtown Santa Clarita (main street across from the Canyon Theater Guild if you’re familiar with SCV), and took quite a few photos for her to use for various purposes …

Last weekend I headed out to Cal Lutheran University to take some portraits of Fernando and Jessica.

Fernando is one of Andrew’s best friends from high school and was in our wedding 5+ years ago …. and Jessica will be graduating with her Master’s degree this semester.

What better occasion for some lovely married-couple portraits?

P.S. Cal Lutheran is a gorgeous campus! I had never been there before, but I kind of want to go back to school just so I can hang out there every day!

Her man is a firefighter, so we thought a little themed outfit could be a lot of fun.

We found a secluded spot in the woods to take these images. Although, we shot this really (really) fast. Just in case. Since we were technically on public property …. and there was plenty of public nearby.

I think these turned out SO well! I love how she totally BROUGHT IT …. I hope HE liked them too

(p.s. the jacket in images below is borrowed. Simmons is not a name related to either Miss K or her man)

We soley went out ‘on location’ …. to a beach (early enough in the morning before there were many people there), and then in a more woodsy location (as secluded as you can find at a campsite). Those photos to come …

(p.s. for privacy reasons we won’t showing her face, but rest assured all the photos turned out GORGEOUS!)

Which reminds me, I have another idea for a styled photo shoot, but it would be a NIGHTMARE for a windy day … so I have to get up the courage

My friend Maggie had come along to shoot, and she noticed this interesting little corner near where we had been photographing with balloons.

Blue door. Red tile. Cement stage. … all fun things!

Sidenote to photographers: When having a friend model for you, a model’s background in theater and acting is always a plus
