Not me. Soooo not me.

Just the 3 of us – me, Miranda and Phoebe – in a part of the train where we could face each other. A bag of Burger King between me and Miranda, our feet on the row across from us where Phoebe was sitting. All scrunched down and relaxed.

Suddenly, walking up the aisle from behind me are 2 guys. .. kids really. I’d guess maybe 17? Hard to say since I didn’t see their faces.

The got to our row.
Stopped.
Both – in unison – turned toward us and said (with accompanying movement) “Schwing!”

Then turned and kept walking back up the aisle.

Wait.

what?

Is that supposed to be flattering? Or insulting? I don’t really know.

Is this something that they planned ahead of time (“the first girls we see…”) or something that they do so often when they are together that no discussion was needed?

Was it directed at Phoebe (who, I contend, was the only one who they could really see as they were walking up), or all of us, or does it matter?

We seriously were laughing about this the ENTIRE rest of the trip home… I honestly don’t understand.

Hilarious.

Sarah (Andrew’s cousin) is one of the coolest girls … it’s always fun to see her. Plus she’s ridiculously cute (and photogenic) ….

So, I was sitting, reading, minding my own business and my mother-in-law comes in and asks if I would just take a photo of Sarah and Michael together since they look so nice …

Um, of course!

That kind of expanded to a little mini shoot in the middle of our street:

Great Photo Tip #1 – The best way you can help me get great, natural photos of you is to be happy. These two are obviously best friends, obviously in love, obviously have the most fun when they are together. None of these shots really required any direction from me because they are already so happy and comfortable together.

We also got some of Sarah with her mom … hi Aunt Debbie!

It really is the best party game because all you need is paper and pen. AND anyone can play if they can read and write. …. anyone.

I’m going to try to describe it for you … but really, it’d be better if you just invite me over to teach it to you and your friends …

Basically, you start out with everyone writing a word or phrase on a piece of paper. Like ‘Wine’ or ‘Lord of the Rings’
That piece of paper is actually the 1st piece in a stack.
You pass your stack of paper (with your word on top) to the person next to you.
That person has about 10-20 sec to read the word, move to the 2nd sheet of paper in the stack, and draw a picture of whatever you wrote.
After that 20 sec is up, you pass to the next person.
That person then has 10-20 sec to look at your pic (only your drawing), move to the 3rd sheet of paper in the stack, and write words/description of whatever it was you drew …

And so on until you get your original stack of paper back.

Get it?

This wedding party was SO MUCH FUN. Obviously close friends, crazy, goofy, making themselves laugh. It was a total blast.

This was also the first real chance I got to see Nick and Cora interact, since I hadn’t met Nick previously. Let me tell you – they have a happy life ahead of them.

Nick and Cora are very clearly best friends. So in love and so happy. I love the fact that they are such good friends. It bodes very well for their future. …. reminded me of Andrew and me, if you want to know the truth.

For Katie’s birthday a couple weeks ago, we did a couple little impromptu photo shoots. … at the beach, and then later at the family birthday party…

Katie and Joe are so much fun because they are both so goofy and are so so so alike!

Or in this case, I got the girls to make each other laugh.

Mom (Diana) would tell stories about Hannah and Hilary from their childhood. And, for whatever reason, the bulk of the really embarrassing stories were about Hilary!

As I’m going through their images, I have a ton of photos of Hannah laughing. And that girl has one of the most animated laughs I’ve ever seen. I love shooting photos of Hannah laughing.

So, you tell me, in a series like this (see below), what do I do with each of these photos? They all look very similar, but as a group, they give a great picture of how Hannah laughs.
