SO much going on at the start of the year …. I just wanted to share:

Did you see that Teegan Photography has been selected for the 2010 Bride’s Choice Award from WeddingWire? Super exciting. … I can’t even tell you. WeddingWire is such a great resource for brides and grooms. All kinds of vendors (sorted by location) with reviews from real couples so you can really get a sense of what to expect.

And some more things things I’m looking forward to (and you can look forward to reading blog posts about):

  • Boudoir photography workshop – I’ll be attending a workshop for boudoir photography (along with my friend Maggie) in a couple weeks. Mostly I’m interested in learning how other people approach this specific genre of photography. It’ll be so interesting. Very excited
  • Boudoir Day with Teegan Photography – Saturday, May 22, 2010. Still a couple spots left. Email me with questions. My mind is racing with ideas for props, outfits, posing, etc. love love love.
  • Jessica Claire workshop – Highly regarded Southern California wedding photographer, Jessica Claire, has been teaching wedding photography workshops recently. I’m really excited to spend a day learning how she does what she does.
  • Instax mini – on a much smaller scale, I used some Christmas money to buy myself a gift. My very first instant camera – this one makes images about the size of a business card. I’m going to take it every where.
  • rolls of film - The last time I took a roll of film was fall 2003. When my 35mm camera broke. All digital since then. Until my birthday 2009, when my hubby and my brother-in-law both bought me film cameras. I finally finished a roll on each and I can’t wait to get the film processed. Very strange not having that instant gratification.
  • Paso Robles wedding – In April, Andrew and I are traveling up to Paso Robles to photograph a wedding in wine country. I visited the wedding venue with the bride and groom recently. The architecture, the vineyard, the big tree under which the ceremony will be held. I can already see the wedding in my mind.

What I’m even more excited about is that I haven’t strayed from focusing on my One Little Word for 2010. Really trying to add some RISK to my life this year – trying new things, putting myself out there, investing in myself with both time and money. I’m feeling really great about how this will all payoff for me. Hopefully. There’s still a few months of 2010 left, of course :)
