A great DIY project that can be used in any number of places or events …

For their 5th anniversary celebration, Maggie and Josh had an ice cream social and Maggie made these lovely, fun big tissue paper flowers (or pom-poms). Maggie used them to hang from the patio cover, in lieu of lanterns or other hanging decor, but there are several ways they can be used.

Smaller ones pinned onto branches for centerpieces, in hair, as extra decoration for wrapped gifts, chains of these flowers as garland  …

In fact, I JUST saw pics from a friend’s wedding where the bride and groom pinned these big, multi-colored flowers in the trees and hedges, much like in Alice in Wonderland.

Love it.

Directions:

Maggie used the directions for the tissue paper flowers from Martha Stewart.

There are detailed step-by-step directions coupled with photos of each step.

The first reason I have to, I plan to make these as decor …. in bright colors. … can’t wait. I’ll be sure to post the results, too!
