At Chris and Nichole’s wedding a few weeks ago, I had more people on my photography ‘team’ then I’ve ever worked with before. And it was soooo fun.

{Brides and grooms note: I do NOT generally bring this many people to a wedding. But the boys happen to be related to the groom, so we would have been there anyway. I just put them to work}

My amazing brother-in-law second shot with me (Daniel). I wish he had a website I could link to because he does some great work (fine art, not wedding/portrait).

He helped me shoot the day and make sure it all got covered …. filling in the holes when I couldn’t be in 2 places at once, driving me and Andrew around all day.

Love having Daniel as my brother-in-law.

My fantastic husband (Andrew) was my packhorse assistant.

He was such a HUGE help to me on this day …. which is why I always try to get him to assist me when I shoot.

He lugged around my HUGE camera bag and equipment. Babysat the bag so I could dart to-and-fro without worrying about several thousand $$s of equipment getting stolen. Kept track of which batteries were used and which were charged. Kept track of which memory cards were used and which were blank. Uploaded images to my laptop as the day went on. Got me dinner at the start of the ceremony ….. all sorts of things.

Andrew’s the best.

And last-but-not-least, Daniel’s girlfriend Jenae (no photo).

She was the catch-all, fill in the gaps, run the errands that need to be run. Jenae is super-efficient.

[Andrew and Jenae kept saying they were 'second shooters' even though they clearly were not using cameras .... and they came up with this hand signal and very specific way of saying it. Like they were in a gang or something? see last photo below]

It is so nice for me to have a support team to help me do my very best on the wedding day …
