As previously mentioned – Matt and Abriel’s wedding ceremony was held at the Phoenix Zoo, at the Savanna. Overlooking animals like little gazelles, cranes, etc. I don’t actually know my animals all that well, but it was lovely.
First, though, the wedding party put on their finishing touches at Ruby House. Ladies in their classy black dresses, guys in their black w/ zebra ties.
Another lovely, personal touch were the animal print fans for the guests. Perfect for an afternoon in Phoenix, and a fun memento of the day.
The chairs reserved for the flower girl/ring bearer had boxes of animal crackers, as well.
Rather than having bridesmaids and groomsmen, Matt and Abriel chose to have ‘friends of honor’ … which is such a lovely idea. That they are all honored (rather than just the maid of honor and best man), and that they are friends – likely of both the bride and groom.
Lastly – reception pictures!! coming up …
