Fall is coming.

I feel it.

It’s been cooler later in the mornings this week. Just a week or so ago it was too hot by 9a for me to take Hazel for a walk … now it’s still in the 70s up until 11a or so (watch, it’ll be hot again tomorrow just cause I typed that).

And the other day I noticed it was dark earlier – like 7p.

ALSO, the other day when I left for work, I felt like the sun was lower in the sky than it had been over the summer. Which is ridiculous because it was 130 in the afternoon. But I felt it.

Fall is coming.

I was reminded of cinnamon coffee (which I forget about when I am not the one making it). It’s a very fall-ish thing to drink. And rumor has it Starbucks has their fall drinks out (pumpkin spice and apple cider and I don’t know what else) … maybe I should stop on my way to work someday soon …

And Andrew and I can drink apple cider every night and watch movies and just remember what it was like to fall in love.

Of course in a week or so I will be in Phoenix where it is summer until Thanksgiving … but just now I am feeling the seasons change.

I even dreamt about it the other night.

Once more I am reminded of why I love living in California. The changing seasons may only be mild, but I can still feel it.

Pretty soon, it’ll be dark around 6p and every time I drive by the 5 freeway around that time of day I will feel like driving down to Glendale for Christmas Carol. You wouldn’t believe the pull that I felt the first year I didn’t do the show. That part of my life is a blog in and of itself.
